It was day before yesterday, when Ubisoft confirmed the release of the Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. However, the indication of new title was earlier confirmed last month in third-quarter earnings call by the Ubisoft CEO and thereafter, we have received the signs of the Assassin's Creed 4 existence through a leaked poster and later, confirmed by Ubisoft by the release of its official box art. The leaked poster was found in a reddit post (as shown in picture below) revealing that Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag might be based on pirates. Also, the reddit post indicated that the release might be sometime in the 2013 holiday season.

According to the official announcement, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will be made available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U, but what about the next-generation consoles? Will the game be available for the next-gen consoles i.e Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox 720 as well? All thanks to a countdown page, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag to release on 29th of October of this year and according to the accompanying text, the game will also be available for the next-gen consoles. As you navigate to the countdown page of the Assassin's Creed, you will be able to see a page where the World Premiere trailer will be shown in 3 days time from now.
