HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook Officially Launched

It doesn't surprise much when rumors become true. There were rumors rolling around that the American Giant, HP (Hewlett-Packard) will be soon unveiling their first laptop featuring the Google's Chrome OS. Well, HP had now officially launched the HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook, which is not surprising at all. Featuring the Google Chrome OS, the Chromebook offers ease, speed and security, along with the addition of Google apps and services such as Gmail, Google+ hangouts, YouTube, and Maps built-in. The HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook is also the first among the Chromebooks to feature a 14" brilliant display.


As far as the specs are concerned, the HP Pavilion Chromebook is powered by 1.1GHz Intel Celeron 847 processor and Intel HD Graphics, along with the 2GB DDR3 RAM (upgradable to 4GB) and a 16GB SSD hard drive. This 14-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit display Chromebook provides 1366 x 768 resolution, and a built-in webcam for video chats. Other features are three USB 2.0 ports an HDMI port, a LAN port, a slot for a multi-format digital media card reader, an Altec Lansing speakers, and a full-size island-style keyboard. The HP Pavilion Chromebook is available for $329.99 at HP's official website. At present it is only available in US, but will be available to other retailers pretty soon.
